Who Can Benefit?

Individuals: Adult & Adolescent

For an individual, being able to connect with a horse allows a person to see themselves more clearly and objectively without fear of judgment. We  provide a safe, non-judgmental approach to exploring life’s personal issues.

Families

Families gain insight about how they are relating to each other as they work together with the horses. The horses help reveal what‘s needed to build healthy family relationships.

Groups

Groups can gain a better understanding of teamwork, leadership styles, and problem-solving techniques. Ideal for special events, schools, youth groups, and community groups. We make growing together fun!

Corporations & Organizations

You may not want to discuss the “elephant in the boardroom,” but the horses in the arena will get you talking. How well are we communicating? Are we working together effectively?

During an individual session you will be given an exercise to do with the horses.  Individual sessions and exercises may address a multitude of needs.  These may range from someone simply feeling stuck in a pattern and wanting to explore why they keep ‘hitting a wall’ in life.  Maybe you have a difficult time expressing yourself, struggle with self-esteem, rejection, or grief.  Or maybe it is something more debilitating such as addiction, rage, abuse, or trauma.  With God’s help, we are confident that the horses will meet you face to face and begin a healing process.

Each session is approximately 45 minutes long and includes a time of processing what has just happened while you were working with the horses.  We also ask that you commit to a minimum of 4 sessions with the horses.  It’s entirely possible for a participant to only have one session and leave still having learned and gained some sort of insight about oneself.  However, the more time and care given to build a connection, the more that connection will grow.

All sessions are by appointment only.  You will be asked to sign a waiver of liability and complete a brief questionnaire about yourself before the first session.

Specific exercises have been designed for families. These can be done with just parents, parents and children, or between siblings. These exercises are a tool to help families better understand and improve the way they communicate and cooperate, resolve conflict, build trust, and restore relationships.

Each session is approximately 45 minutes long and includes a time of processing what has just happened while you were working with the horses. The horses have a way of uncovering underlying conflicts with the goal of discovering new, healthy approaches to an issue. Sometimes it is a fun time of learning and sometimes it can be intense. Families can look to the herd for powerful lessons about living together.

All sessions are by appointment only. You will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to participating. We will also ask for some information about your family before beginning. For example, what goal do you hope to accomplish by participating? Is everyone a willing participant?

We offer exercises for a variety of groups as small as 4-6 and as large as 20. During a group activity participants may work as part of a team or with a partner to accomplish a task as part of the entire group. Group sessions are for approximately 2 hours. Prior to a group session, we will discuss any specific goal for your group. We would then choose an activity that helps to facilitate your goal.

Zechariah 1:8-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
8 I saw in the night [vision] and behold, a Man riding upon a red horse, and He stood among the myrtle trees that were in a low valley or bottom, and behind Him there were horses, red, bay or flame-colored, and white. 9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel who talked with me said, I will show you what these are. 10 And the Man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are they whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro through the earth and patrol it.”

What Trail Are We On?
Vision: Do you know what it is? Does everyone on your team have the same vision? How do you implement it? Build it in the corral!
Mission: If your mission is “Go ye into all the world…” what does that look like for your team?

Corporate Groups use exercises with the horse or horses to address effective leadership, communication, identifying resources, teamwork, and problem-solving. Prior to the activity, we ask that you complete a corporate questionnaire to help identify the focus for your group. Once the questionnaire is returned, we will discuss how we can best meet the needs for your group. Immediately after the session we will briefly process what took place with the group before they leave. At a later time we will follow-up privately with the leader to discuss the session and ways to utilize what was learned.
